First, let me tell you that I had gone back to school in 2002 at the age of 46 to earn a degree, and in doing so, fell into some bad habits such as eating fast food, eating the wrong foods, eating late at night while doing homework, for example.  I'd gone from a fairly healthy 205 pounds, to over 260 in the course of several years.  My size 34" waist went to 42".  To say I wasn't happy about it is to greatly understate things.  I'd always been athletic and fit, playing racquetball, lifting weights, and being involved in martial arts and other sports.  I was the picture of good health not five years earlier, so I was very discouraged.

As a seeming consequence of my weight gain, I suffered gout attacks, migraine headaches, incessant heartburn, aching joints, and a general lack of energy.  I was taking 300mg a day of allopurinol for the gout (and if you've ever had an attack or known someone who has, you know how debilitating and painful it is, so I was just thankful to have the meds to keep it at bay).  I was taking Pepcid or Zantac two, sometimes three times each day for heartburn, and wouldn't dare eat onion or spicy food because it would be tearing me up in the middle of the night, no matter how much medicine I took.  I can't even recall how much Advil I was taking for headaches.  And, besides yelling at me about my cholesterol levels, my doctor informed me that I was pre-diabetic - just wonderful.

I recall telling my wife in January, 2010 that I guessed it's just "how it was - we get older, things stop working right, you gain weight, you have a few procedures, and then you pass on" - perhaps thankful to have it over with and not hurt any more.  But, I was going to eat right, according to the food pyramid, exercise 30 to 60 minutes every day, and get back down to my right size.  I started shortly after New Year's day, 2010.  Believe me when I tell you I ate "right", worked out like a madman, and kept a journal to track my food and exercise.  By January 10, 2011, I'd lost 4 pounds.   A year!  Four pounds.  Talk about discouraged.  And I gave up.

Then, on March 16, 2011, my manager at work IM'd me (I work at home) to tell me about a book that a friend of his had told him about, and he'd followed it and that he was dropping 3 to 5 pounds a week, and he felt great.  At first, I thought "Yeah, sure .... you've probably stopped eating, or are following some crazy thing that will make you sick".  But he went on-and-on, and I finally went to Amazon.com and downloaded the Kindle version to my PC.  I was swamped with work so I didn't even open it, but when my wife got home from work, I asked her to open the book, take a look, and see what she thought.

On March 17, 2011 we started following the meal plan, and we set our day to weight in as each Saturday.  By May 31st, 2011 I was down under 230 pounds.  I was under 220 by September 1st.  But that isn't even the best part.  By that May 31st date, I had decided to wean myself off of the allopurinol because you always have to be worried about taking something that messes with liver function.  The most amazing thing happened because I found that by eating right, I didn't need to take it any longer, and I've had no gout attacks since.  I also now take Advil only very occasionally.  And I very seldom get heartburn now, perhaps once every two or three months, and I eat onion, garlic, Mexican food, Cholula and Tabasco sauces all the time.  My knee joints also don't hurt anything like they used to.  And my doctor has removed me from his diabetes watch list.  My wife had similar weight loss and health improvements as well.

So, you must be wondering at this point, what on Earth could I have done to have such dramatic and all-compassing effects.  Would you believe me if I told you that, as human beings, we can't just eat whatever we want to?  Would you believe that some things on the food pyramid are poison for us and they almost make it impossible for good health and weight loss?  Well, this is what is claimed in the book I'll tell you about, and exactly what my wife and I, my manager, and dozens of other people we know have experienced.

Now, before I tell you about the book, let me tell you that only you know your medical condition and abilities.  If you're in generally good health I can't see why you shouldn't try this, but if you aren't sure, see your doctor for advice.  I am not a doctor and don't need to be to understand how this works, because the author of the book explains exactly why and how it works, and the science behind it.  I won't elaborate on the details in the book here because that information is the property of the author and he deserves to be compensated for his hard work and dedication (but I will answer any questions that are posted, offer food suggestions, and that sort of thing for those who buy and read the book, and earnestly follow it).  Give it 30 days - that's all - be totally honest about following it, and see if you get results.

Okay.  Are you ready?

The book is less than $16 in book form, $10 in Kindle form.  No, I don't receive anything for telling people about this. The book is called:
